I'm in Canada at the moment on a visiting visa (expires December 22nd) and I'm going back to Sweden for a week or so in roughly a month. What papers, if any, should I have with me to prove to immigration that my residency application is being processed?

I remember that the immigration officer who gave me the visa back in June made a note in her computer about me applying for residency, so would they get suspicious if I didn't have any proof thereof?

I was told to use a copy of the receipt as proof of processing application.
The receipt of the application payment?

Yes thats what I was told but i'm not speaking from personal experience. The last few times I've crossed the border, I've carried the reciept and a rough copy of my PR application. Never needed it, but your in a different situation.

Ok. I'll make sure to talk to the CIC before I leave just in case. Thanks! :)
