Hey guys you will be seeing a lot of questions from me just a heads up lol me and my husband are working on our papers from outside Canada I am American and he's Canadian I come to Canada by bus since I only live 4hours away my question is when I submit my papers do the border officers know that I am getting sponsored and that I have papers.in process? If they do and I tellthem I am married and show them my marriage certificate and they read the date on it which is july 25th would they be like well you've been lying because the last times you crossed you told us your going to visit family or do they not save what you say on their files?? And should me and my husband start crossing together we've been crossing separately because a lot of people told us that they'll make it a problem hold us for a long time asking questions and might not let me in Canada I don't know what to do I am scared and I need to know whether it shows on their computer that I am getting sponsored and my papers are in process because the last thing I want to do is lie to them by saying going to visit family when there reading getting sponsored by husband lol.
Another question the application that says statutory declaration of common law union do I have to fill it out? Someone told me no because we are married is that true?

Thanks for any help I get guys so much! :-)

Don't misrepresent yourself, because yes, they can see the information in the system about you being sponsored.

Have a copy of your husband's sponsor approval letter if you already have it.

If you can, travel together, and let him do the talking. You are visiting your spouse, not moving in, because you are still waiting for your PR.

Have proof that your ties to the US remain intact, such as a copy of your lease, bank statements, proof of employment (pay stubs) if you are working, that kind of thing.

Don't pack a tonne of stuff.
