Curious as to what other's experience has been when applying for a BOWP on paper following an electronic PR application via express entry (for me, specifically Canadian Experience Class).
I applied for PR on April 25th, 2023, receiving my AOR same day. I submitted my BOWP paper application package later that week (4/29), and confirmed it was received at the Edmonton Case Processing Center the following Monday (5/1). I've read that for purposes of processing a BOWP, the AOR you receive from your PR app submission is what they use to validate the underlying PR's completeness and begin processing of BOWP. I'm getting antsy as I haven't been able to successfully link the BOWP app to my IRCC online account, so not exactly sure if processing is underway or not.
My questions:
1. How does IRCC communicate with you regarding a paper app (assuming it is never linked to an online account)? How do I know if it was approved, if more information is required, etc. Worried about potential lost time if there is a mistake or they need more info
2. Is the AOR I received following submission of the eAPR truly all IRCC needs to begin processing a BOWP considering a BOWP is based on the assumed validity of a PR app?
3. What are recent timelines people have seen who are in a similar situation? The day I mailed my BOWP app package, processing times were quoted at 14 days and have since reduced to 12 as of my last check. I'm aware that the labor disruption may negatively impact this, just wondering general timelines people have been seeing. I'm assuming that since I am still within the processing window, no news is good news?
