Salam guys. Hope you're all doing well. Yar I have received an admission offer by Concordia and I was just wondering a few things

1-) Concordia University asks for $250 deposit to confirm acceptance of offer. It has to be paid by credit card. Now my dad has an HBL credit card, will that be acceptable?

2-) Similarly will this credit card be good for CAQ payment as well?

3-) What is the duration of the student visa? My adviser said that it has a five year validity. Is it true?

I paid for Ist and Second through my UBL credit card...It is acceptable...
The duration of student visa is normally equal to your duration of study...

1- It doesn't matter ,it depends on whether it is VISA ,MASTER ,OR AMERICAN EXPRESS, so when u will make payment there will be written which cards are accepable.
2- u can use it to pay for CAQ aswell
3-duration of visa is course duration+3 months

Momi bro, another thing is that the credit card says that I have to activate it especially for online shopping. My adviser confused me saying that there are two ways of activating a credit card, one is temporary and the other is permanent and yadda yadda yadda. His main point was to get it activated permanently for online payments. So did you specifically ask your bank to activate it permanently for online payments or not?


BTW it is Visa.

My dear friend,

just remember these points for ever to use credit card

1-Always call to your bank for specific online shopping and specific amount and time period
2-Never ever open it for permanently
3-Always make online payments in front of your eyes
4-Never give your card to 2nd or 3rd person.
5-always check the status of your credit card or debt card to up to date of your transaction

and for your case only your father will be authorize to activate it by calling to bank for this payment.and tell him the amount you want to pay through there card.

i think in pakistan ubl bank make prepaid credit card go and deposit amount equal 250$ activate online shopping use it and then through it no tension of misuse

I use two cards for online payments ...UBL credit cards it creats a online profile for u and after that you can make online payments any time , it is a bit risky ... Second one is alfalah once u want to make a payment call online service ,get it open ,make payment and the close it is safe but there is some work to do in it. You can use any card visa or master card , it will be mentioned on the website.you don't need to open it permanently.

momi, can you please make it a bit clear.......i have an account with hbl and they offer credit cards which arent easy to get at the moment however the ones you've mentioned.....do u think any1 can go ask for it easily and then make a payment through...?

What is your source of income, i think if you are earning more than 12 thousand per month you can get a credit card of around 25000 limit.
