I have been trying to find a listing of all the Visa processing posts that are directly affected by the PAFSO strike. It has been reported that a total of 12 posts are affected but I cant seem to find a listing anywhere.

I would like to find out if Port of Spain Trinidad is one of those affected?

If not, would the strike have any trickle down effect on applications being processed in Port of Spain?

Not sure about PORT OF SPAIN but all i can say is that this strike is effecting almost every immigration application in process !

Sckel,
You could ask PAFSO directly, they may tell you considering it is their members which are on strike.

It may be worth a try, the most they can do is ignore your enquiry.

@Lubs64 : Have you asked PAFSO directly and what was the reply ?

That was excellent advice Lubs64.

I sent them an email, lets see if I get a response. I guess there has not been any developments on your side either?

Rock Khan, I think you have misunderstood my post, I was suggesting to Sckel that he should consider contacting PAFSO.

Hi Sckel, You guessed right, I have not heard anything. My 48th month has just passed, I should have contacted London VO, but I have refrained from contact them simply because I have been busy with work. I wanted to have a clear head before I contact them. Got to get the wording right!

This website talks about the VO that are on strike

Pfso.com new releases June 20 lists all VO that are striking I just can't post links :(

I hope that helps

@Canadian_Leb : Thanks for the info

@Lubs64 : I know my friend that u were just giving an advice, but i thought u might have contact the visa office so wanted to know what reply did u get !

There is a ray of hope in the strike by Canadian foreign service officers after Ottawa agreed to the union’s offer of binding arbitration.Just minutes before the union’s noon deadline Tuesday, Treasury Board President Tony Clement took up the offer with undisclosed conditions attached.

The ball is now on the court of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) whether it will agree to those conditions.

Strike is still on.

NEWS RELEASE:

24 July 2013 - Statement by the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers: PAFSO Responds to Government's Conditional Acceptance of Arbitration
This morning, PAFSO sent a letter to the President of the Treasury Board. The correspondence addresses the conditions which the Government is seeking to attach to its acceptance of binding arbitration.
While we would have preferred to initiate the arbitration process without preconditions, PAFSO is committed to finding a reasonable and responsible way forward which will allow for a full and fair hearing of arguments from both sides – an objective we are sure the Government shares.
We await the Government's response. Until the conditions for arbitration are resolved, there will be no change in PAFSO’s job action measures.

Lubs 64, at least that is a step towards ending this ongoing strike.

@sckel : totaly agree with u !

All services at Canada's 15 biggest visa processing centre's abroad, are being withdrawn starting Monday!

This is insanity!! I really do empathise with PAFSO... There has to be a meeting of minds in this matter as Canada's reputation continues to be adversely affected by the ongoing action.

There are always three sides to a story but the Treasury Board's action seems to be in keeping with the conservative party's hardline approach..
