Hi,
please any one from the immigration specialists could help me.
I came to Canada in 2010 with a six-month student visa. After that, I applied to be refugee within Canada. Then I had to exceed the visa validity period. There were circumstances that forced me to return and leave Canada. I canceled my refugee case and decided to leave without taking any legal actions (I did not see a lawyer or a judge and did not receive any assistance money). Then I left Canada. Currently, I have received a PhD scholarship from Canadian unuversity and there are some questions I would like to check out. Summarization lies in two parts.
1. Does my application for asylum and withdrawal of the application affect my return to Canada.
2 - Is my departure from Canada after the expiration of the validity period affect my return to Canada.

Yes - it's quite possible your prior refugee claim and overstay may have some impact on your ability to re-enter Canada. You will need to apply for a new study permit to be able to re-enter Canada. When you apply, you will want to demonstrate very strong ties to your home country to demonstrate you have no plans on remaining in Canada long term.

FYI - No one here is an immigration specialist. We are all normal people like you.
