hello there,
I had overstayed in Canada after my work permit expired. Coming to know that Iam not suppose to stay ,I left Canada and went back home India
Iam qualified for express entry now.
Does my overstay effect my express entry file? I created my EE file after coming to India

When you knew that its going to expire, why did you overstay?

Provided you are completely honest about the overstay, it will not affect a PR app.

try it... if u r offender of any kind of overstaying any country sees u as a risk and it will affect... either rejection or extra scrutiny

Research it.

An overstay can affect TEMPORARY resident applications. A PR cannot overstay, so as long as it is declared, there is no effect on a PR app.

you research it... it will not necessary lead to rejection but will lead to extra scrutiny...

It will affect it in that that there will be a review required and hence a longer processing time of your application but it won't cause your application to be rejected.

Make sure to mention this in your application.

Exactly my point any law break in the xountry , in which u want residency.. will push for extra scrutiny... be frank and be ready with correct justification.. don try to fabricate it

I said it can.. depends upon reason he overstayed , they can and they have..you know all the rules its ur assumption ... mr preet singh is an immigration consultant who deals with it everyday... and go around forum few have got rejected under similar case.. so over stay does affect your application

And again, that is wrong. Overstays are not a reason to refuse PR apps. This is not my assumption.

Claiming to be an immigration consultant means nothing on this forum. Consultants provide more wrong information than right.

All overstays are deliberate. Still not a reason for refusal of a PR app.
