Hi

I have the same situation. I had sponsored from canada in AUG-2005 when my brother was 24 years old and was the fulltime student. After 2.5 years i got approval from Mississauga canada and they asked me to send the application kit to Backhome. at this time my brother was 26 years old. Now the application in CHC islamabad for the last 2 years we did not get any response yet. They have all original document with them. My brother is now 28 years.

If the age locked in when i applied here in canada. he is unmarried. What is your opioin should i hope some thing he will get visa. During 2 years i have not get any enquiry from Islamabad.

Please comments.

Thanks

To qualify while being older than 22, he needs to be single and a full time student. As soon as he either marries or isn't studying anymore, he can no longer be considered a dependent child.

Untill he got the visa he should study and unmarried?

When we submit the document at CHC he provided all the original doc that he is studying. thats enough or they will call again before sending the medical or interview call to check whether he is still studying?

Thanks

He has to be in continuous study because he was over the age of 22 when the application was originally submitted. Had he been under 22 years, his age would have been locked in at under 22 and the requirement to be a full-time student continuously would not be applicable.

the application process was so long that he could easily graduate. will not it be counted or he needs to get into another college now?

Yes my brothers was over 22 years when i sponsored in canada in 2005 august. I got the approval in Aug-2007 and asked us to submit the documents at CHC backhome. When submitted the documents we send the original educational documents and send a letter issued by institute that he is still enrolled here and would be completed in 2010.

We have not heard any update during 2 years.

Thanks

He needs to stay studying. If he hasn't gotten the PR yet when he graduates in 2010, he better enroll in another program and keep studying if he wants that visa and update the visa office that he's in another program now and still a full time student. They know that he graduates in 2010 so if the application drags on, they will know he has graduated and will inquire about his status. If he is at that point not a full time student anymore, they will not give him the visa.

Thanks for your reply. How my brother can submit the updated documents Since FEB-2008 he has completed his two semester? Can i send registered email to them with our FILE ID.

Thanks

It's not necessary to tell them now that he is still studying but hopefully you hear from them soon and then you can update them. Before he was scheduled to graduate through (2010), he should make a new plan for continued studies and let them know that he will still be a full time student.

You can mail, fax or sometimes email the visa office. Always use your file-ID.

thanks My another brother who is also dependent They submitted the application in JAN-2008 and his study MSC completed in FEB-2008 but the certificate issued in AUG-2008. Now he studying in other programe. For this brother CHC has record that he is completing FEB-2008. Do i need to send for him?

thanks

If he was over 22 when you applied, then you should send for him, yes.

Hello:

I have almost the same problem, my parents recieved a certificate of selection from Quebec as I was under 22 years old, and due to the delay in processing time at the federal government side (Abu Dhabi Embassy) I will finish my education in 2 months and we still didn't recieve the medicals.
my question is since I have received a certificate of selection with my parent's application would there be an age lock due to the certificate? or is it as the above stated case ?
