Hello all,
I am staying with my spouse in Canada, I'm from a visa exempt country, and have a 6 month visitor visa which I plan to apply to renew as soon as our application is in. Now, my questions:
1. We are living together in Canada even though I am a visitor. I am going to answer 'yes' to the question about us living together, and supply a lease for our apartment signed right before we send the app (slow landlord...). This is ok, right? I'm not doing anything stupid/illegal by saying that I live in Canada and giving our address as my address?
2. We're not sure what to do about the financial interdependence question. I have a (very small) life insurance policy through my uni and just made my spouse the beneficiary, and we can prove that we've paid for some trips, furniture, and events tickets for each other. We are also thinking about taking out renter's insurance together. Does this sound ok for those with more experience? Does the jointly signed lease also count as evidence of financial interdependence?
Thank you so much in advance. This forum is a life-saver.
