Hi again everyone,

I received an email this morning with an ICU and file number. The email said that they received my application; how to get updates or change my contact; they will contact me once the file has been examined. Is this the AOR??? It was to my personal email address (as the sponsor) but not on my husband's email address, which was put as the main contact address??? Anyone have a template of what the AOR looks like?

That's the AOR! The UCI listed is your (sponsor's) UCI. Your husband's UCI will come with the Biometrics letter or Medical request - whichever comes first. You can use your UCI to sign up for the new tracker, but it will just show your side of things (as a sponsor). Your husband's will show his side (biometrics, medical, background check, etc). It took me 24 hours to link to the new tracker after receiving the AOR, so it might not work right away. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I've been however unsuccessful to sign up for the new tracker. So I can't link my account to his application correct?

Hi everyone,

I submitted my application on the new PR portal on Dec 29, 2021. I just received an email that my status has been updated on the portal. When I login, I don't see any change... Status still shows 'submitted' as in December.

Am I missing something? Does anyone know what this means?

what made you chose the online vs paper?
I am thinking online is easier, but the forms are super confusing especially who should be filling these,. can you share your thought process, tips and tricks you followed to navigate the online form.

Hello,

I thought it'd be easier to apply online to avoid numerous papers. The online portal is efficient in pointing you directly to the forms that you need to fill out. And the submission is instant. I saved on printing hundreds of pages and killing trees.

I'm reading a lot that there's not much difference between paper and online, so you'll be safe either way. Pls read all the checklist forms online on IRCC as I used them to answer questions. I shared the login info with my husband for him to sign his forms and the final confirmation page before submitting.
