Outland Spousal Sponsorship from abroad

Hi all,
Has anyone done an Outland application with both the sponsor and sponsored being outside of Canada. We do want to live in Canada but don’t want to be apart during the process of the sponsorship.

Also, could we travel to Canada to visit friends and family before the process is completed?

You can certainly do this as long as the sponsor is a Canadian citizen. You will need to provide evidence with the application that you plan to relocate to Canada as soon as the PR visa for the spouse is approved.
