Hi

I am originally from the UK but have been staying in Canada for a while and unfortunately incurred an overstay (as per previous post). My husband and I have decided to move to England for a short while (he has a visa good for 2 years but we are not planning on being there that long). He is a Canadian Citizen and wants to sponsor me for when we move back. but I have a few questions:

1) Has anyone sponsored/been sponsored by their spouse while both parties where residing in a country other than Canada?

2) What kind of proof would be acceptable to prove then 'we will start a new life' here?

3) How would my husband go about meeting the financial responsibilities when he will not be earning any Canadian wages and will be quitting his UK job when we move back?

I just don't want us to relocate and then not be able to come back to Canada on some silly technicality.

Plenty of people do this.

Looking for work, letters from family, job offer etc

A financial exemption exists for spousal applicants - the VO will need to be convinced you can maintain you life when you get to Canada - savings, staying with friends etc

I just don't want us to relocate and then not be able to come back to Canada on some silly technicality.
