US applicants outland are processed though Ottawa - currently listed as 15 months. However, straightforward cases go usually much faster.
In a case of a child - it could go faster, IF you have all the required documents (from the mother, authorising the child to emigrate to Canada etc.).
If you're sponsoring your husband inland - any reason why the child wasn't included in the application at first?

Thank you very much for your response.
The child was included originally as a non-accompanying dependent because his mother wouldn't allow him to emigrate at that time.
She has since changed her mind.
Does anyone know if my husband will have to have sole custody, or is shared custody okay?
