Hi everybody :)

We finally mailed our application to CIC today, it is expected to arrive tomorrow (December 4th, 2015).
First i wanted to thank you all for the help, i've been asking questions here for the last few months, some of them were unnecessary but i got help every time i asked for it and i appreciate that a lot.
Special thanks for the same few people who kept answering my questions until this day, i wish i could thank you in person!

Now i guess all there is to do is just wait, we made sure nothing is missing from the application, so we'll just keep the engine running on positive energy and i believe everything will be just fine.

What happens now? like starting from tomorrow, lets say CIC will get the application, what happens starting from that point until the end of the process? I just wanna know what to expect.

Thank you!

P.S - If you are reading this post and you are still working on ur outland application be aware that CIC CHANGED the generic form for canada (IMM0008)! They changed it in November, 2015. I was about to go to Canada post with the outdated form in the application but something told me to check the website again this morning! Good luck for us all!

In about a month and a half, you may get AOR, based on processing times as of today. This will show everything got there okay and an officer glanced at your file. You may still get a document request later if something doesn't make sense. You might not ever receive this AOR. You may also get your application sent back to you for missing a form or a silly reason beyond your control (i.e. the Use of A Representative form missing, etc)

Shortly after that (based on processing times next year when your app is processing), you will receive sponsorship approval.

That's as far as I got in the process so that's all I can really comment on. :P

Now you fall on the floor with your arms around your knees and rock yourself while sobbing for the next few months. Na I'm kidding. The best thing to do is DON'T obsess about it, you'll just drive yourself crazy. Try not to compare your times to other people's. Keep an eye on things to make sure you get the appropriate "milestones" but you are better off not checking ECAS frantically every day. Good luck! :)

Thank you!
I filled everything myself and wrote "N/A" on the "Use of A Representative form missing" box on the checklist, was i supposed to attach the form even though we didn't use a representative?
