Hi everybody : )

We mailed our outland application and it was received on December 4th, 2015. Since we got married in November we couldn't get the marriage certificate so we included the solemnization of marriage in the PR application, yesterday (more than a month after the marriage) we ordered the certificate online, even though it was clearly indicating that there is no time guarantee because the marriage may not be registered yet we still made the online order because we heard about people who have got there certificates a month after the marriage.
According to the website the first stage takes 64 days, lets just assume that they'll contact us when they open the application which lets assume will be on February 8th, 2016, lets assume that we get the certificate BEFORE February, can we mail/email them to CIC beforethey get to open our application so this way there will be no delays? or we should just wait for them and see what happens?

Thank you!

Do either of you have a UCI number?

My wife is a canadian citizen by birth, i extended my visitor status before so i already have a UCI number.

I would just wait for AOR, then you will have her UCI and an application number. Then you can put both your UCI's and the application number on the document. You should be able to get the document there before SA.

Your UCI might be enough but who knows with CIC, as I am sure they would want that document for sponsorship approval.

A friend has got SA without sending the certificate cuz the marriage took place in ontario like our marriage, i heard about many more such cases where they got SA without the certificate.
Even though i'm thinking of the positive possibility i'm not counting on it. I had to send my police certificate from the embassy straight to cic along with the passport photocopy, if that's enough i think providing a passport photocopy with the uci number would be enough. Am i right?
And Canadian citizens have UCI too?!
Thnx
