OUT OF STATUS AND OVER STAYED IN EUROPE. Please advice….

Hello everyone,
Please, I will need your humble advice. I’m February 2021 outland spousal sponsorship applicant, and I’m currently out of status were I reside. Before applying for my Canada spousal visa, I had just completed my studies, and I had post study residence permit(post study work visa). I was hoping that the application process will be over before my residence permit expired, but unfortunately it didn’t happened as I thought initially. Now I’m out of status and I have over stayed my visa in the country I’m residing in. I can’t go back home now because there is war and kidnapping going in my home country. My question is;

1) will my current status affect my Sponsorship application?

2) should I inform IRCC about my out of status and over stayed?

3) If IRCC find out without me informing them, will they consider me inadmissible to Canada because I failed to disclose my out of status where I currently reside?

I will really appreciate your various answers. Thank you all.

PS: my medical is completed but eligibility and background check has not been initiated.

1) It shouldn't be an issue provided you have a valid passport and don't need an interview.
2) No, you don't need to unless they contact you and ask you to update your forms. If they do that, then you'll need to declare that you are out of status.
3) It's only going to be an issue if IRCC asks you to update forms and you hide your status.

There's really not much you can do but wait. It sounds like you are still in the earlier stages of the process if eligibility and background check haven't started. Good luck.

Thanks.. medical was completed since June 2021. I have being waiting for more than 1 year with no updates after medical examination. This is so frustrating. But as you said above, nothing I can do but just to wait..
