Dear friends,

I am a Bufflao VO applicant having returned to my home country. My tiemlines are in my signature block. I am considering of going for medicals on my own and have following queries:

1 - Where should the DMP send the forms to Buffalo VO or Ottawa?
2 - If Ottawa, can some one provide the address?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Cheers,

vermas

Thanks zulkfal,

What happens if these are sent to Buffalo VO? I am in India now.

Cheers..

Hi Vermas,

The medical check forms must be sent to the CIC medical center and not to the visa office or anywhere else. Visa officers are not doctors so they cannot assess your medical check forms. They receive the results of your medical test from the designated doctor at CIC medical center, which in turn, decides whether the results are acceptable or not. Accordingly, they inform the visa office.

Regarding doing the medical test in advance, i do not recommend you to do so for two reasons:

The cost of re doing them again if they expire before your application is finalized.

The risk of getting your PR visa expiry date very tight "short" if your medical test results are going to expire soon.

Good luck anyway.

I think it is not advisable to do the medical without the MR and is it also possible to do the medical without the MR?

They will be sent to the RMC in New Delhi. DMPs have been instructed to send the medical results to the RMC that services their country of residence.

Thanks PMM,

What is RMC? Regional Medical Centre? For DMPs in India, it must be CHC, New Delhi. Is it Ottawa for Buffalo applicants?

I think it costs approx Rs 2500 or C$ 58 to do medicals here. I am tempted to take a chance if it helps in expediting my case. It has been 14 months, since they received my complete application. As per new time lines, they expect to complete cases in approx 19 months. In any case, I should be close to get MR.

Cheers..

You can ask DMP to send med results to Ottawa. My wife and daughter did medicals in Pakistan and the local RMC (goof guess Regional Medical Centere) is ND, but we asked DMP to send results to Ottawa because our file is being processed at Buffalo. DMP was happy to send results to Ottawa but with extra charges in terms of courier fees (around $30-$40). I got the tracking number couple of days back and the results are delivered to ottawa on 24/05.

You really should read the instructions to the DMPs in the DMP Handbook. They were instructed not to send the results to the RMC responsible for the processing office, but to send them to the RMC responsible for the area they are in.

I agree with you PMM on that, but I sent an email to Buffalo VO and asked them they said it will be f9.

Hi friend,

I believe this address was mentioned on the medical letter you received. Pls confirm.

Thanks,

Yes you are right.

Did you verify that the reports were delivered to the address you have provided me? I read on some other threads that their medicals were received at a different address. see http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ottawa-medical-address-365-laurier-ave-vs-219-laurier-ave-t45319.0.html

Man the DMP sent the results through DHL which is not giving me address but just says received by GREG

Surprising that there is only one DMP (Max Panchsheel) in Delhi as per CIC list. There used to be a few options earlier.
