Section 17 of the The Document Checklist for the Sponsor says that the Sponsor needs to provide:
"An original Option C Printout of your last Notice of Assessment for the most recent taxation year. To obtain this printout free of charge, from the Canada Reenue Agency, call xxx...if you do you not provide this printout, provide an explanation on a separate piece of paper."
My wife is Anglo/Canadian (Canada and UK citizen) and has lived in the UK since 2007. We have been together since 2009 and have lived together for 5 years, here in the UK. Neither of us have a clue what this Option C printout for the last Notice of Assessment is, but we assume it's something to do with tax? Is it a Canadian Tax Return?
If it is, obviously my wife won't have one, as she hasn't lived in Canada for so long. She will have the UK equivalent of this, which I'm guessing would be a P45 or P60 form.
In this situation, would you recommend we just add a separate sheet explaining that my wife doesn't have this because she's living in the UK, or should we supply the UK equivalent of this information?
If anyone can shed some light on what this means, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
