It is normal and also a requirement in Part 3 of the spousal sponsor immigration package specific to geographic region for Pakistan that the original marriage certificate (Nikah Nama) and certified english or french translation both have to be included in application.
Nikah Nama is in Urdu and that is the offical document of marriage, the certified english translation is exactly that, a translated version of the original marriage certificate they want to verify.
