I would like to know how to order the notes. I am a Canadian citizen living outside of Canada. My wife is the applicant. What steps do I need to take to get information about her application and can we pay the $5 by credit card?

Yes you can order by CC. Follow this link:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Your wife will need to sign the consent form in order for you to apply for the notes on her behalf:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

Fill out the consent form with her info, print it and have her sign it and then scan it and upload it. Pay the fee and your done. If you have anymore questions just ask.

yes you can pay by CC

P.S. I realized the form also says this: *To be eligible to make a request, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada.

I'm not sure if that means you cannot order them, since you are currently not residing in Canada. Can any seniors weigh in?

Thanks for the info.

My wife fills out section A with her info and section B and C with mine on the consent form?

There should always be a Canadian citizen or PR (inside or outside Canada) or anyone else in Canada involved in a family sponsorship application, so it's just a matter of the consent form.

Yes this is correct! I read it wrong. As long as you are a Canadian citizen or PR you are good to get notes

we request the electronic file not physical right?

Yes your wifes info goes in section A and she signs it and your info goes in section C. No need to do section B, since you are not applying for PR
