Dear Seniors,
I am pleased to have information shared regarding my application process by the friends in this thread.I am about to submit an application soon.I still have many confusions on how to answer for some specific questions while filling up various forms.I have enlisted the questions which are as follows
A) Documents submitted in the support of application for selection certificate form
1. Can I write 'YES' on the box if I have a supportive documents and N/A on the box if i dont have supportive documents? For example,I dont have a document for work booklet and family booklet. Can i write N/A on those boxes?
2. Do I need to submit even translated documents(marriage certificate,Birth certificate) in sealed envelope except educational transcripts from university or is it enough just to notarized copies of documents without sealed envelope?
3. As per Q no.9: Declaration by a candidate practising a regulated profession or trade in Quebec (A-0527-JA).I am Lab technician and my spouse is nurse here in my country Nepal, both of us required liscence to practice here.Am I required to declare or just ignore this question?
3. Q no.10: What does family booklet mean?Is it mandatory to provide documents for family booklet?
4. Q no.23: Is it compulsory to submit documents regarding work booklet? It has clearly mentioned that and, where applicable
Miscelleanous
They have mentioned that new immigration applicants are requested to send an application to Montreal office from now onwards but while going through another information,Hong Kong office serves an application from countries like Nepal,India,Pakistan etc. Please clarify me in this context where to submit my application along with fees.
B) Application for selection certificate
1. Q no.4 : It is imperitave that the principal applicant declare all the family members of his family. In my case, my spouse myself and my five years old son are accompanying.I donot have any other children.Does it mean to mention even the name of parents of principal applicant here or three of us is enough?
2. Q no. 8: Are you the holder of one or several of the following diplomas?
Is it correct to mark on the box of Diploma or training reconized as equivalent by a Quebec regulatory body(with the exception of a diploma in medicine) for myself and spouse? If not which box should I mark?
Next : Should I and my spouse tick on the box 'YES' on the question- Do you hold an authorization to practice issued by a Quebec body that regulates a trade or profession?
3. Q no.9 : My spouse has two years bachelor degree in nursing(15 years of study).I think, She is not in the list of code no.U118 as they require 3 years of bachelor in nursing (16-18 years study). In my view, She falls in Nursing DVS-3 years but I could not find this training in the Area of Training list mentioned in French language. So, make me able to find her code no.
I am sorry for putting serials of questions here as i do not have any agent even i wished to find in my country Nepal for Quebec processing, that's why I am compelled to ask many questions.I hope You all will support and help me by providing specific answers

Based on the above, I am not
exactly sure which specific forms and/or questions you are referring to. For example, which form/question are you referring to when you say "
Can I write 'YES' on the box...", I do not know which "box" you are talking about.
However, I assume to
A, you are referring to this form:
Documents submitted in support of the Application for Selection Certificate (A-1520-AA) (Dynamic PDF, 456 Kb)
Here are my "answers" to your
A questions:
A1. I do not know what exactly you are referring to.
A2. You need to follow whatever the instructions instructed you to do. I am not familiar with what the instructions indicate.
A3. Please see the list of regulated professions here:
Quebec (A-0527-JA). "Nurse" is listed in the
List of regulated professions and trades referred to in this Declaration section on the
Quebec (A-0527-JA) form. "Lab technician" is not listed. You need to declare your wife's profession.
A3. If you do not use "Family booklet" in your country then the "Family booklet" section of "Q no.10" is not applicable to you. You just need to provide photocopy of your "Valid passport".
A4. "Q no 23" says "
AND, WHERE APPLICABLE" submit "Work booklet".
If "Work booklet"
is applicable to you then you need to also submit a photocopy your "Work booklet". From the instructions, it seem that "Work booklet" is only applicable to people who worked in China.....the form does say "
For work experience in China" -> "Work booklet"
The clearly stated instructions on page 1 (in the "
Steps to follow" section,
step 5) of the
Documents submitted in support of the Application for Selection Certificate (A-1520-AA) (Dynamic PDF, 456 Kb) is:
Send your application to the Ministère office responsible for your country of residence. The postal addresses of our offices are given on
our website at www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca.
I do not know which Ministère office is responsible for your country of residence.
You might find more help for your questions from other persons who have more experience with the Quebec process. You can probably ask persons in the

B questions
