Option C printout

I called CRA, and my notice of assessment isn't ready yet. They advised me that it might take another 3-4 weeks for the assessment and another 10 days for them to mail the 2011 Option C print out to me. I already have the Option C print out for 2010.

My question is, I'd like to send our file out at the end of this week. Is it OK if I send my 2010 Option C printout? I can get the 2011 printout later when it becomes available and send it to them if they ask for it? Does it help if I send CIC-M a copy of 2011 tax file with the PR package?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. CIC understands that the 2011 tax assessments are not all finalized.

I didn't submit an Option C because I have been a non-resident since 2001...so instead I submitted the Chinese equivalent for 2010 (notarized and translated).

I sent my 2010 option C. I didn't ask for my 2011 Option C because I'm away at school and I have none of my tax information with me.. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mail it to anywhere other then my home address. Also I was pretty sure that they didn't know if I had or had not done my taxes yet (it was a month ago). I'm not sure yet if I was approved or not.

Thanks Fencesitter and Steph C. I'll mail the package with my 2010 Option C printout. I hope they are fine with it. I'm gonna order the 2011 when it becomes available though. Just in case they write and ask for it. This way less time will be wasted.

This immigration file is getting to my head. ??? I'm worried that after I send the file, each half day of waiting will feel like a month

I was just so glad to have sent it. With the 10 months I spent putting it together perfectly he could have been here by now. Sending it is the biggest step! ;D Just go ahead.. they will let you know if there's anything they need from you.
