I'm a dual US and Canadian citizen and will move back to Canada to work. I'm applying to sponsor my US citizen wife and stepdaughter for PR in Canada and filled out IMM 5481. I shouldn't have any trouble qualifying financially and was not directed to fill out IMM 1283. But item 17 on the Sponsor's document checklist asks for the Option C printout. Should I write a note and explain that I haven't worked in Canada for twenty years and therefore would not be able to show anything on the Option C printout, and just not worry about it? I've included ample evidence of my current and future earnings to qualify financially. Thanks! I'm not sure the application will clear in time for us to arrive in May with everything done and I don't want to send to send it incomplete!

Yes, just write a letter explaining that you haven't worked in Canada for 20 years and can't get an Option C.

My husband has never filled taxes, i don't know what to do!! I'm scared!! And we are planning to send a letter telling them that he has been getting income from his father all this years and that he is planning to study again as soon as i get to toronto as a resident

There is NO legal requirement for a person without income in Canada to file taxes. Letters and proof of finances from family members stating that they will support you guys should be sufficient.

Thank you so much i was very very worried about this. I'm so nervous :) thank you, i will send a letter tellingthem my husband does not work or have ever worked and that his dad will supoort us. I'm so excited to start this process
