We need to send in may application on Monday or else the FBI clearance expires (3 month window). But my sponsor doesn't have her option C printout. She does have her tax forms, which are the same info. We don't want to wait for another FBI certificate - 6 weeks. What should we do? Will the tax statement suffice?

You can call CRA and request for option C for 2010 usually these send it immediately and you should get it in 3-5 days.
Not sure about the tax forms...as they have asked for Option C in the checklist.

do u mean the notice of assesment by tax forms? or the actual forms u filed...if it is the forms u filed they aren't sufficient enough as they do not state if you were on welfare or not...I have read that people send their Notice of assesment and it waxs accepted...may be you can send it with ur application and req for an Option C printout in the mean time...

If you can give them a good reason for why there is no Option C printout, then send it without... BUT include that explanation!

I didn't have one as I"m behind on filing -- but I included a statement saying that I was not in receipt of social assistance, had never declared bankruptcy and also mentioned my marital status (married once, to the applicant).

I also included a statement of my income and self-employment income in the letter.

My sponsorship was approved in the standard timeframe.

I didn't have an option c print out either because I was working and living in the UK for the last 4.5 years when I was sponsoring my husband. What you are supposed to do instead is send them copies of your pay slips for the last year and then write a letter explaining why you don't have an option c print out. It was that easy and I was accepted to sponsor my husband. All they want to do is to make sure that you weren't on welfare/benefits/declared bankruptcy because you are supposed to support your sponsored person for the next three years (I believe). If you didn't keep your payslips but have other bits of proof (like that country's version of a T4 slip or the tax info you talk about) then send them that instead.
