I would like to know what are professional networking opportunities in Canada in the civil engineering sector. I spent time working in England and there was tonnes of opportunities with organizations like ICE, IStructE, The Concrete Centre/Society, The Building Centre, etc. I feel in Canada it is not easy to network. Do you have recommendations for networking for newcomers who are still jobless? Any advice specific to Edmonton, Alberta will be highly appreciated.
