Hi All,

Does anybody know how should I apply in the field of Occupational health and hygiene? I have done my NEBOSH international diploma and have 15 years experience in oil and gas sector. Any advise will be highly appreciated.

1. It doesn't appear that your occupation is on the list of "29" http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list for Skilled worker.
2. So to qualify, you will either have to obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion from an employer in Canada. The employer has to prove that there are no Canadians/PRs qualified or available for the job If HRSDC approves the LMO, then you can apply for a work permit. Once working in Canada, the employer can offer you in writing a Permanent job, then you can apply for FSW2 (Arranged Employment) Or the employer can obtain an Approved Employment Option from HRSDC which states that s/he will hire you permanently once you receive your PR. Note though an approved AEO takes about 7 months and then the Immigration processing takes about another year.
3. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp
4. You still have to qualify with 67 points. Take the assessment. Your NOC is probably 2263
