OPNP August 2015 applicant

Hi all,

I am an inland August 2015 OPNP applicant. My medical has been done in July 2016, after passing the medical exam my application went into background check and since then no update. I have tried calling there call center many times and I have been through MP office as well but everytime gets the same answer that my application is under background check and there is no maximum processing time.

Its frustrating and effecting my personal life decisions a lot. Does someone has any suggestion what should i do to expedite this?

P.S. I have enough points to apply under express entry and get invitation. So is it safe to submit another application under express entry in parallel without withdrawing my current OPNP application?
