OPEN WORK PERMIT

On cic web site under "who can apply for open work permit" last one says "if You are a professional athlete allowed to enter Canada and you need to do other work to support yourself while playing for a Canadian team."

Does that mean that person who is here on work permit as a professional athlete can apply for open work permit too? And under what conditions? Seniors, please help!

Conditions aren't stated here - so i think it is hard for any one to comment up unless they know or are a professional themselves.

But it's safe to assume what you did, that professional athletes CAN apply for OWP

Thats why I'm asking about the conditions, because there's no explanation on cic website.

Is there anybody here who might know what the conditions are, please?
