hello i need some help!!! just want to know when it is possible to apply an open work permit? my papers for permanent residency is actually in process right now in the federal skilled section. Is it after the medical or after the visa office received it...

No, you are not eligible to apply for open work permit just because your FSW application is 'In Process".

You do not qualify for an open work permit at all. In other words, you do not qualify for an open work permit at any point during the processing of your federal skilled worker application.

Open work permits are only granted in very specific circumstances (e.g. you have been sponsored through family class by your Canadian citizen or Canadian PR spouse using the "inland" application process and you have received AIP/stage 1 approval). This rule does not apply to FSW applications.
