Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
So, my Work Permit Expires next week and I just applied for a tourist visa through Express Entry (online). I have several questions regarding this situation, I hope someone can help me.

1. Obviously, I'll stop working next week. Last week though, my boss has applied for EE specific (free) LMIA for me. Am I still eiligible for that since my WP is about to expire? I know that in this case, I won't be able to work until I get a PR but how much time does it usually take to issue a EE specific LMIA? Is it 2 weeks or more?

2. How much time does it take to issue a Visitors visa for an applicant who applies from within Canada through EE and is switching from a Work Permit? I checked the CIC website and it says

Visitor Extension - 63 days
New temporary resident visa (For valid Study or Work Permit holders ONLY) 15 days (Does not include document mailing time)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp

So, which one suits me 63 days or 15 days? Also, my WP will expired and my visa apllication will still be processed, can I remain in Canada during that period of time? I mean during the period when my WP will be expired and I will still be waiting for a visitor's visa?

Thank you.

1. LMIA should have no consideration of your current status. You can be on a visitor visa, while LMIA is in process. LMIA can take a little as 2 weeks (in special cases, like short term work contracts) or 2-3 months based on experiences from others.

2. I have no experience in this, but I'd suppose its 15 days one. You aren't extending an existing visitor visa.
