Open work permit through Common Law

I have been in Canada for 10months on a visitor record status. My partner from back home has arrived in Canada on his 2 year work permit. He has me down as his common law, and I am wanting to apply for and open work permit through him. We are wanting to know what/ if we have to submit any documentation to prove our common law status to do this.
Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you

You have to prove that you have lived together for one year continuously (no breaks) so lease, utility bills, bank accounts etc to show you have lived at the same address.
