Processing for OWP takes about 16-17months.
PR application another 16months.
You can leave Canada as long as you still have a valid work permit, a letter from your employer stating you're still working with them and a TRV(need to apply).Cheers!

hi,thanks for your help..is there any instances that the OWP processing time will be shortened? it takes a lot of time,, :(
and for TRV,,how long will it usually take? thanks again,, :)

I wish i could do something about the processing....If you are in Toronto area we(eventhough im not from there)and some caregivers are organizing a protest for the processing time for OWP & PR and some concerns for LCP. PM me then.....

Heres a link for the TRV:

file ahead of time...3months before your vacation.
