Hi Team,

Thanks in advance for your answers.

My husband is in ICT, as his dependent I'm holding an open work permit and have a valid job offer. By using that can I claim the 50 points for the job offer in the express entry?

If you have an approved LMIA from your employer - then yes.

Otherwise no.

Hey, Thanks. Mine is LMIA excepted job. Is that also claimed?

Doesn't matter. You are on an open work permit with no employer named on the work permit.

It's only possible for you to claim the 50 points if your employer obtains an approved LMIA

Won't the employer notify IRCC you quit? I'm also in the same situation. My employer just started processing Lmia for me after 15 months of working for them but I'm thinking of leaving the company If it won't affect my Express entry after i get the lmia job offer approved and claim the 50 point.
keep in mind I'm on PGWP

OP isn't planning to leave her employer. Her husband is on an ICT and she is on an open work permit. Again, she didn't ask about leaving an employer.

To answer your question, yes, you should expect there may be an impact and you will lose the 50 points once IRCC evaluates your application post ITA.
