Hi everybody, Unfortunately by mistake my husband and I lost our status in Canada. I had a study permit, and my husband had an open work permit. However, before losing my status, I finished my Ph.D. study. So immediately we applied to restore our status, and I applied for a post-graduate work permit too. Now, I have concern about my husband status, because, somebody told me that probably CIC will reject my husband open work permit application, because first of all, I need to have a job offer or contract in Level A or B, and secondly, I should receive at least three bills of my salary, In this case my husband would be eligible to receive an open work permit. Although, in our application documents, I have placed my job contract for a job offer in level A, But, since I am out of status, and I have no right to work, so I had no bill to show to CIC.
Now regarding these conditions, Do you think that CIC will renew my husband status?! Or do you think, is it better to withdraw my husband open work permit application and apply for a visitor visa for him? I would be thankful to help me if somebody has had any experience or information regarding the issue.
