Hi All,

I am an international student from Vietnam. I had submitted open work permit for my wife and study permit for my daughter (3 years old) on Sep 11, 2018. Until now Mar 26,2019, it is 26 weeks and 6 days while the time process for this application is 26 weeks. We have not receive any medical check request for next step process since Sep 19, 2018 when my wife is taken bio metric. I have sent email to IRCC Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to ask for the application yesterday.

I am going to graduate my college on April 26, 2019 and my study permit will be expired on July 31, 2019 as well. I am confusing that when I graduate and get a job, then I should change my status to Post Graduate Work Permit. Does this affect to my wife's application? if affected, what should I do in my situation?

I truly appreciate your suggestion.

Thank you so much.

PS: Sorry, I posted wrong category. Please transfer my threat to the right category.

Families of international students are not guaranteed permits/visas. Processing times are just estimates but given that your studies are ending shortly a visa/permit for your family seems unlikely. I would focus on getting your pgwp, a job in not 0, a or b and 3 pay stubs so you can apply for your family then.
