OPEN WORK PERMIT FOR cec APPLICANTS

Hi,

Please advise about my possibilities:

Work permit expires in Dec 30, 2012 applied for PR under CEC in MAy, med done last week...Also applied for visitor visa because LMO was rejected...Now there is a new rule and it seems that i am eligible for an open work permit...what would you guys suggest?Can I cancel my application for tourist visa and apply for work permit ? Do i have time to do that???|Please help!!!I have to do something quickly...

Hi Guys,

My situation is, i just applied a restoration of status on the 13 and extent and change my status to a visitor because as far as i know to restore to become a worker a still need an LMO for WP.

So at this point because the new rules apply, do you think i should cancel my extent as a visitor status instead change it to extent as a worker and apply for open WP since i've got my AOR already since October.

Please advice, thank you in advance, any suggestion from others would help too.

But my PGWP has already expired, so i don't know at this point what i should do, because i just sent the restoration of status application on December 13 and it arrived yesterday december 17. Some guys said i can restore my status as a worker instead of as a vistior and apply for the new open WP.

do you think this is possible, for you i think go ahead and apply islington.

But what about our first application for a visitor visa?do we have to cancel that or just leave it and submit a wp application as well at the same time..what if they approve the visitor visa???Where do we have to submit the open wp application? Alberta or Ottawa?...as I sent visitor visa application to Alberta...

You can apply for the open WP online. Its quick and easy. Do it fast my friend.

actually it seems complicated for me. :..Also, I do not know how to upload the documents in pdf...I am not a computer expert..I tried it before then I gave it up... :-[.Also some registration is required...and i am not sure if it allows to upload any additional documents as we have to explain that we are applying for OPEN WP under CEC eligibility....

Hi Islington I already did a dry run of the electronic application this morning and it does allow you to upload a letter of explanation if you need to further clarify anything to the officers

Do you have any idea if I can download a program for free which would allow me to merge pdf files into 1 page???Last time I wanted to file online I have read something that says that the documents which consist of more than one page needs to be merged into 1. So I gave it up....Thanks!!!

YEA.... MY SUGGESTION TOO DON'T CANCEL VISITOR VISA AND DON'T BE LATE TO APPLY OPEN WORK PERMIT TOO , DO NOT CARE ABOUT 150 $ ..WHO KNOWS ABOUT PAPER WORK BETTER STAY IN SAFE SIDE
