Hi Everyone!

I am here on a visit visa, my wife has PR and she has sponsored open work permit and dependant PR for me. We submitted my profile on Dec 23rd 2019. The package was returned to us as I missed a signature- we resent it on Jan 29th 2020. Meanwhile, I applied for jobs as some companies have a hiring process for more than 2 months I assumed I would get an open work permit by the time I get the visa.

I have the following questions:
1) Will my profile be considered from Dec 23rd or Jan 29th?
2) I have received offer letters from three companies as of today 10Mar2020, can I send these to CIC for expediating my work permit process?
3) Can I go to Canada Border Services (CBS) to get my work permit assessed for faster results?

Thank you!

FYI - processing time for open work permits is around 4-5 months right now. So you should be expecting your work permit to be approved sometime between late June and late July. As said above, going to the Canadian border is not an option. You have to wait for IRCC to process the application you have submitted.

There is no way to expedite the OWP.
