My paper application for BWOP was received on June 24th. However, I have yet to hear anything from CIC about its status. I am currently on implied status and have confirmed that with the call center.

Is the strike affecting the process of my application or should I be concerned. It is almost exactly 2 months to when I had sent it.

I was hoping to book flights home for Xmas this week and I am under the impression that I cannot leave the country until I receive the bridging visa to show at the border when I re-enter

Cheers in advance for anyone who can shed light on this!

as per the CIC processing times ..you may need to wait one more month to hear about your BOWP status. as CIC currently processing May 2013 applications.

Thanks for the info

If your app for a bridge visa is turned down. Your status immediately expires correct?

Yes, you have to leave country immediately. Check with call Center what would be your options in that scenario.

I applied June 27 paper application. My pgwp expires in September. Still waiting as well. I assume we'll get it 2-3 weeks from now..
