Hi,

I heard that Ontario PNP request for NOC 2173 requires a valid license of work in the software engineering profession. Is this correct? Does it mean that anyone invited to apply for Ontario PNP should show that they are certified else they are ineligible?

Thanks,
Saran

Yes

If you already work in a regulated occupation in Ontario and show this experience, you should provide evidence you've got a license for it.
Otherwise, No for software engineering.

Saran,
If you are inland applicant, then I believe it's better to go for NOC 2174 in lieu of 2173
If you are an outland applicant, you can apply for NOC 2173 and they do not expect any license.
