[online visitor visa application]Is there maximum duration to mail the passport?

Hi All, I am applying Canada visitor visa from the U.S. online, and just received a notice regarding the Original Passport Request. However, my passport is currently for some other use and cannot be mailed out.

Does anybody know if there is any maximum duration between the notice of original passport request and the mailing out of the passport? For example, can I do it within 15 days?

It is stated in the request letter.

(Usually 30 natural days).
