Hi. My husband and I originally planned on submitting our application next week while I'm up visiting him. There were complications with our marriage certificate so we're now slightly delayed until we can get a corrected copy of that. I am paying for the processing/right of permanence fees before I fly up to see him and originally we were planning on just compiling our application/evidence (separately but over skype), pay for everything (separately etc), then compile everything again together (during my trip), and then submit everything together (also during trip).

We're now concerned that the time that will lapse between our payment (should be tomorrow) and submission of the actual application (anywhere from 1-3+ weeks) will allow for updates/changes to the application itself and we will have an incorrect version.

Does anyone have experience with this delay? Will our application version be safe due to the date on our receipt? Or will we need to continue to check for updates and be 100% current even if we pay tomorrow but have to submit in a few weeks?

Thanks

Hi

It doesn't matter when you paid the fees. You will need to ensure that the forms are current on the day that you send the app.

This is totally random but you do know you can pay all the fees in one lump sum right? You don't have to each pay your own Fees. My husband and I payed everything together for a total of $1040 CAD

Oh - and when you make the payments have nothing to do with the application forms. As long as when they receive the application all the forms are up to date that is all that matters. AND of course you have to include a print out of the online receipt showing that you paid your fees.
