I read that to claim Canadians education points for EE you need to have at least 50% of your program in person in Canada, and this needs to be atleast 8 months.
Does the same go for PNP programs? I was looking into some BC PNP programs for BC post-graduate graduates as I will be going for PhD there, and it says "distance learning education not applicable". So do the same rules apply here ?

My PhD started from May 2021, and it will be atleast 4 years but probably 5 years total

Thank you

BC PNP did not change or ammend inclass/research base requirment for PNP. Feds did because of pandemic and waiver is ending Dec this year. So technically you wont qualify for BC PNP if your program of study was online but through EE, yes they factor that period in as you were studying in class.
Now for phd, it doesnt say about online requirement as long as you graduate in Natural, Applied or Health Science you should be fine. Requirement for fullfilment of PHd programs may be different from other programs and can be blended with both research, lab, coursework, online seminars etc

damn thats depressing

Just want to write here for any future student who might have same question. I found the following paragraph in BC PNP requirements for eligible programs for this stream

"Your education is not eligible if it is a distance education learning program. A distance education learning program means a program of study in which the majority of the credits earned by the student toward the completion of a program of study were earned by completing online courses "
