I did IELTS academic 1.5 years ago and now doing MS in Sweden. The language of instructions is English. My degree will finish in June. Letter from university plus my old IELTS result will be sufficient for immigration or not. I need 8 points in language and my old IELTS result can give me 8 point.

Do IELTS again

Hi

I am afraid that W.E.F. 10 april 2010 it will not work, General IELTS would be mandatory, They will not accept any other documentation as proof of English language except IELTS ( maximum 1 yr old).

No, its not mandatory even after 10, only change is OP would not have a second chance. As its 50/50 whether your old IELTS and University letter will give you 8 points or not. In my view, its a risk, because if English is not your mother tongue, CIC wants you to go for IELTS. So, my personal opinion is, do not take the risk, go for IELTS again, what background you have mentioned, you can make a good score again.

Good luck.

CIO sent me email on Dec 19 to send all documents in 120 days but i did not get that(or deleted from junk email). Now on my query they told me that we sent you email on Dec 19. Now i have only few days to submit my documents. It is not possible now to submit IELTS in 10 days.

Write to you local visa office as soon as possible by sending case specific query. Now days, chances are slim that they will give you extension, but every thing is possible. Write all the situation and in begging style, request them a extension. I hope that will work. Select your visa office from here ....

One more thing, are you already registered for IELTS? send them your old IELTS along all other documents and write a cover letter explaining all situation. Tell them that soon you are sending your new IELTS.

I agree with mahharrouf.
