Hi everyone! Have a l'il problem here.

We just got our PR status last January. We plan to apply my mother for super visa but I have a problem on the spelling of my middle name (didn't think it would be a problem in the future). I should correct my birth certificate and passport before we apply for PR.

My middle name is "Felex" (that's in my birth certificate, passport, PR card, SIN card) while my mother's middle name is "Felix"

What shall I do?
1. Can I go ahead and apply her the supervisa with our middle Names not the same spelling?

2. Or should I get an affidavit from the lawyer here to correct the spelling and get a new passport, new PR and SIN card (would CIC bother to change my PR and SIN card with one mistake letter)?

Thanks in advance!

It is not a problem making issue. The name spelling varies according to country and territory. One example: Rosie, Rosy, Rossy, Rossey .... etc.
However, CIC knows this and asks to write name in their native language also, to know how it is also pronounced regionally.

So don't worry, go ahead with application.
