one help regarding air ticket..its urgent..??

i booked my ticket today from amritsar to toronto by jet airways..but i received the ticket in printed form..it has two pages with all details of timings..is that called a ticket..??
secondly nothing mentioned about seat number..someone told me they alot when giving boarding pass is that true..??
please help..?? ??? ???

it is a e ticket,you will get seat number on your boarding pass..

so means its the ticket that we need..that is e-ticket..earlir they gave a copy type ticket..??
