Once PPR, can I get PR visa in person

Hi,

Any one has experience of going inperson to collect PR visa?

I mean once receive PPR, can I travel to US to get it stamped immediately???

I have read in forums that people have gone in person and got their visas stamped.The PPR letter that you wud receive will clearly state which days and wat time you can go in person and get your visa stamped.
