What I find hilarious is that none of these guys are specifying the section on the criminal code lol. Nobody is trying to judge you, it's that certain charges (conviction or not) make you inadmissible.

So to save these criminals time, here is the list. If you are charged with anything under the below you're almost guaranteed inadmissible even without conviction. A mere charge in any of these areas can make you inadmissible. Stop wasting your money on lawyers and try immigration elsewhere.

Edit: This list isn't comprehensive, just wait I found from a cursory amount of research. Like s.449 would probably make you inadmissible as well.

IRPA Sections – Grounds for Inadmissibility

  • s. 36(1)Serious criminality
    Conviction in Canada of an indictable offense punishable by ≥10 years, or equivalent foreign offense.
  • s. 36(2)Criminality
    Conviction (or commission) of hybrid or indictable offenses in Canada or abroad, including offenses not resulting in conviction.
  • s. 36(3)Offenses while under sentence
    Inadmissibility if offense is committed while under conditional sentence or parole.
  • s. 37(1)(a)Organized criminality (membership)
    Inadmissible for being part of a group that engages in organized criminal activity.
  • s. 37(1)(b)Transnational crime participation
    Involvement in people smuggling, trafficking, or money laundering.

  • s. 267–268 – Assault with weapon / causing bodily harm / aggravated assault
