On OSAP, is eligible for sponsor parents immigration?

My husband and I meet the income requirement to sponsor parents immigration. But I am on OSAP, may I ask if we are eligible for sponsor parents immigration? Because on the CRA website, it says:

• received government financial assistance for reasons other than a disability

OSAP is a student loan that you pay back after you finish education. It is not government assistance (welfare) whereby you get to keep the money with no obligation to pay back. OSAP does not really qualify as income as it is not a paid to you through employment or disability.
