It says to write what kind of sponsorship this is on the first line beside the words Sponsorship: should I write Spousal or Family or either or?

Spousal, yup.

As said - spousal. The reason is because CPC-M only processes family so that's implicit from the address. They want you to label it because there's various streams with varying prioritization (dependent children, spousal) and they want to know what stack to put it in.

Good luck!

Thanks, that is what i did but i didn't mail it yet...i was aiming for last fri, but seems like it'll be monday instead now.

AHHHH I'm freaking out because I forgot to write Spousal Sponsorship on the envelope :o

Don't worry - I'm sure they'll figure it out.

Yikes, I just read this and realized I never wrote that on the envelope either. I can't wait to hear something, just anything!

What if you sent 5 envelopes within the courier express pack (plastic baggie)? When CIC receives the package, do they have something to keep the envelopes in so they don't get separated??

FS

FS- After I sent in my app I thought back and was like oh why didnt I put a big elastic around the app so the sections dont get separated, but it was an afterthought, and I work in medical records, and we always put elastics around all the files, so I guess thats why it dawned on me, but really and truly, they must have some kind of system to keep it together be it elastics or something cuz my app was fine!

Okay...and damn, why didn't I think of that! Some kind of wrapping would have made a lot more sense...but it's too late now...I put the courier address label on the back of each envelope with another label on the front saying what it is, e.g. "Sponsor Forms and Supporting Documents - Envelope 1 of 5"...I'm sure CIC will figure it out.

Thanks,

FS

I have mine separated in a folder, and 2 envelopes. The folder is the sponsor application w/ a big clip to clip it all together w/ an elastic around it too just in case. The other two are the permanent resident app. and the proof of relationship. I put them all in a big waterproof bubble wrapped envelope.

So can we drop off our packages to the cic office instead of waiting it to be sent by snail mail?

No in person drop offs, either courier or mail, I recommend xpresspost. Very economical and quick.

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know :)
