As far as I know the institution itself will not let you work over 20 hours as they know that working more than 20 hours hampers education and CIC suggests the institutions to monitor that students don't work more.

It's challenging but not impossible. I've been working on-campus since first semester. 10 hours. Never heard of anyone working more than 10 hours though. I wouldn't be able to study if I worked more than 10 hours too.

They are not allowing you to work more that 10 hours but rule is that you can work for 20 hrs . :-)

Well, actually the job requires 10h. It could be school's policy not to hire students for more time than that. I don't know.

Once you get your off-campus work permit you are allowed to work part-time (=20h) during regular classes, and full-time (=40h) during scheduled breaks (summer holidays, spring break, etc).

What are you talking about?
You can work ON campus without a OFF campus work permit. To work ON campus you only need a study permit.

You can work on campus with a study permit only!
